Advanced Floral Design

This three day class includes instruction of contemporary, tropical and geometric designs incorporating the unique foliage weaving and braiding techniques of Phil Rulloda. Students will learn accelerated techniques used for armatures  and experimental and interpretive designs.

Our course also includes essential tips for designing for floral competitions:

“You’re in it to win it!” Learn techniques that will help you bring home the prize!

A Certificate of Completion is awarded to each student who successfully completes the class.

  • Course Length: 3 Days
  • Maximum Enrollment: 8 Students
  • Instruction is conducted on a full-time basis for 3 consecutive days,
    Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm
  • 1. Ikebana - A practical application for commercial use.
  • 2. Instructional usage of tropical and exotics.
  • 3. High-style treatments, dimension design, abstract and geometric designs incorporating the unique and contemporary concept of Phil Rulloda.
  • 4. Experimental - interpretive design and accelerated techniques.
  • 5. Designing for competition - learn the techniques that will help you win.

Materials

  • Due to the nature of these courses, all flowers, floral materials and supplies needed are included in the tuition fees. Floral hand tools are required but may be purchased either from the school or from a floral supply house (at the student's option). Advanced study students are expected to already own their own tools as they are practicing florists in the industry.
