Designing For Excellence

In this two day workshop, advanced and professionally experienced students will prepare for national and regional floral design certification testing by learning to strategize and organize projects in a simulated environment. Hands-on practice is followed by in-person assessment with suggestions for refinement of concepts and techniques.

Phil and his team’s personal expertise and feedback will help each student better understand and excell in both state and national floral design testing in their quests to become nationally Certified Floral Designers and/or accredited members of the American Institute of Floral Design.  Out team also includes an AIFD® Certified Floral Evaluator/Judge.

  • Maximum Enrollment: 8 Students
  • Instruction is conducted on a full-time basis for 2 consecutive weeks, Monday through Tuesday from 9:00am to 4:00pm

4. Materials

  • Due to the nature of these courses, all flowers, floral materials and supplies needed are included in the tuition fees. Floral hand tools are required but may be purchased either from the school or from a floral supply house (at the student's option). Advanced study students are expected to already own their own tools as they are practicing florists in the industry.
